What Seminyak is like
Seminyak is a mix of hotels, serviced apartments and villa compounds, with a lot of guests on shorter, well-planned trips and residents who split the year between Bali and home. Rooms are smaller than in Canggu but better equipped, and reception desks are used to guests asking for things.
Setting up in a room here
Hotel rooms here are usually air-conditioned with a desk and a good socket, which is close to ideal. The catch is permission: a hotel is entitled to know what is happening in its room, so ask reception before the date rather than after. Villas around Umalas and Kerobokan tend to have a proper indoor dining table, which is the best surface we can work on.
Price and deposit
Quoting works the same everywhere in Bali: by request. Send the reference, the size in centimetres and the placement, and the artist replies with an estimate. A 40% deposit confirms the date and is not refunded if the session is cancelled.

Send a photo or drawing of what you want, the size in centimetres, and the body part it goes on. Those three things make up the estimate, and without them nobody can give you a real number.

You get an estimate for that piece and the time it needs in the chair. Ask anything you like before you commit. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

Do I need to tell my hotel in Seminyak first?
Yes, please ask them. Most properties are fine with a quiet, clean session in the room; a few are not, and finding out at the door wastes your slot and ours. Tell them it is one artist, no noise, everything covered and everything taken away afterwards, then message us what they said.
Can you match a piece I already have?
Send clear photos of the existing work in daylight, plus the placement and the size you want for the new piece. Some styles line up easily; some do not, and if yours is one of those we will say so before you pay a deposit rather than after the needle is out.
