What Kuta is like
Kuta and Legian are hotel country, with a lot of short stays and a lot of first tattoos. Rooms are small, staff are close by, and the walk-in tattoo shops on the main strip are the loud alternative that most of our clients came here to avoid.
Setting up in a room here
A standard Kuta hotel room gives us a desk, a chair and a socket, which is enough. Space is what runs short, so we work on the desk with the chair turned out, and we ask you to clear the surface before we arrive. If the room only has a low coffee table, tell us in advance and we bring a folding setup that works at the right height.
Price and deposit
Quoting works the same everywhere in Bali: by request. Send the reference, the size in centimetres and the placement, and the artist replies with an estimate. A 40% deposit confirms the date and is not refunded if the session is cancelled.

One message is all it takes, in English or Indonesian, whichever you are quicker in. There is no form to fill in and no office hours to wait for.

Send the reference, the size and the placement
Send a photo or drawing of what you want, the size in centimetres, and the body part it goes on. Those three things make up the estimate, and without them nobody can give you a real number.

The artist replies with an estimate
You get an estimate for that piece and the time it needs in the chair. Ask anything you like before you commit. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

Questions from Kuta
It is my first tattoo and I am nervous about the shops on the strip. How is this different?
You choose the room, and you see every packet opened. Needles and cartridges are sealed and single-use, the surface is covered with fresh film, the machine is wrapped, and everything used leaves with the artist. It is one artist and one client at a time, in a quiet room, with as many breaks as you want.
I fly home in two days. Should I still get it done?
You can, but understand what the flight means: the piece will still be healing, it needs to stay clean and covered, and you cannot swim before you go. If your last two days involve the beach or a pool, the honest advice is to book the design now and the session at the start of your next trip.
