What we actually do
Dot Tattoo Bali is a home-service tattoo artist. You do not come to a studio: the artist comes to your villa, hotel room or guesthouse anywhere from Canggu to Nusa Dua, sets up properly, tattoos you, and takes everything away afterwards. One client at a time, by appointment only.
Custom work, not a wall of flash
Every piece is drawn for the person wearing it. Send a reference, the size in centimetres and where it goes, and you get a design, an honest sitting time and a price before any date is booked. Fine line, black and grey, minimal work and cover-ups are what this artist does; if your idea needs a different specialism, we will say so instead of taking the booking.
Hygiene is the whole argument
A private room is only better than a studio if it is set up like one. Needles and cartridges arrive sealed and single-use and are opened in front of you, the work surface is covered with fresh barrier film, the machine and cord are wrapped, gloves change whenever the artist touches anything outside the clean field, and every piece of waste including the sharps container leaves with the artist.
Sessions happen indoors with the door closed. Not on the terrace, not by the pool, however good the light is out there.
What we will not do
- No tattooing anyone under 18, and photo ID is checked. No exceptions, whoever is paying.
- No tattooing anyone who has been drinking or is on anything. Come back another day, sober, and it will still be there.
- No cover-up promised from a blurry photo. Send daylight photos and you get a straight answer, including "this needs laser first".
- No work on sunburnt, broken or irritated skin, and none outdoors.
