How a price happens
- 01
Message on WhatsApp
One message is all it takes, in English or Indonesian, whichever you are quicker in. There is no form to fill in and no office hours to wait for.
- 02
Send the reference, the size and the placement
Send a photo or drawing of what you want, the size in centimetres, and the body part it goes on. Those three things make up the estimate, and without them nobody can give you a real number.
- 03
The artist replies with an estimate
You get an estimate for that piece and the time it needs in the chair. Ask anything you like before you commit. Nothing is booked until you say yes.
What moves the number
-
Size
Measured in centimetres, not in "small" and "big". The same design at 4 cm and at 14 cm is two different jobs.
-
Detail
Fine line script and dense shading take different amounts of time per square centimetre. Detail costs hours, and hours are what you are paying for.
-
Placement
Ribs, feet, hands and the inside of the arm are slower to work on than a flat forearm, and they need more breaks.
-
Sitting time
Everything above adds up to the hours in the chair. A piece that needs two sittings is quoted as two sittings, up front.
What to send
- A reference photo, screenshot or drawing. Anything that shows what you mean.
- The size in centimetres, at its longest point.
- The placement: which body part, and roughly where on it.
- Your area in Bali, so travel can be planned around it.
- Any dates you have in mind.
